The introduction to knifemaking by stock removal is a great way to get a taste of what making blades is all about.

This course is designed to show you techniques, tips and tricks to produce a functional knife using minimal equipment.

In this course you will cover:

• knife design

• workshop safety

• grinding and heat treatment

• scale making

• sharpening

You will be provided a range of knife templates to choose from and will be walked through the whole process so you can take your new skills and experience home to continue your knifemaking journey.

The day class will run from 8am to 5pm (unless other arrangements are made). Light refreshments will be provided. Please bring a lunch and a water bottle.
